Excerpt from the President's Annual Report

2023-2024

We look back on an eventful and challenging year, as Expertinova AG created a second start-up called ChoNova AG in February 2024, while our first endeavor Elionova AG continues its successful journey.

Elionova AG

The mission of Elionova is to develop and commercialize an innovative diagnostic platform and in vitro diagnostic products for human and animal health. Our focus lies on rapid and highly accurate point of care diagnostics for on-site use for human and veterinary medicine. The product range, including the reader and the ready-to-use cuvettes developed by the Elionova team, works very well mechanically have been successfully tested in our own laboratory in Fribourg. The only problem at the moment is the software, with software development proving to be the most expensive part of development so far. We are presently solving remaining The bugs and software weaknesses.

However, the first validations of the readers at external partner laboratories will begin this summer. are to be identified and rectified in Reader R22, after which we will focus on and he reader prototypes R22 Another challenge is the assembly costs at Moser-Bär, which are still high due to the small series.Furthermore, a different standard housing had to be found for CE certification. The first validations of the readers at external partner laboratories will begin in summer 2024.

Chonova Ag

CHoNova AG was founded in February 2024 with a share capital of CHF 269,000. Both Expertinova AG and many Expertinova partners have subscribed shares. Two Innosuisse applications are also planned. One is a project application for Innosuisse funding for start-ups prior to market entry and a second application with CHoNova AG as implementation partner (possibly also with Bühler AG) and university partners (BFH, HAFL, ETHZ, ZHAW Winterthur) to test the current DetachLog prototype for its suitability in the production of meat analogues and cheese structures. CHoNova AG is making good progress with the DetachLog! This is also confirmed by the fact that a DetachLog prototype has been in operation at the Felchlin company, known for its "Grand Cru" chocolate products, for a good seven years and is still working perfectly.
