Under the auspices of the SATW* we organized a Forum on "Bioplastic" to discuss the current situation and possible shortcomings in Switzerland.  You can find the corresponding "Factsheet Bioplastic" in the apendix. During the Forum is became quickly clear that Switzerland has very limited opportunities in the field of bulk (bio)plastics but that high-tech and specialty biopolymers should be the primary targets for the Swiss economic space. The next workshop is planned this November 2019 intended to discuss more specifically the realistic options for Switzerland.
